If it negatively affected your ability to be part of the play, it would be a block on the defender. It is not much different than screening but screening is typically an offensive action (although the rules don't require it to be so). Were you cutting to the basket for a pass that was missed because you were stopped by the contact...block on the defender. Was the play away from you? If so, probably nothing.
