You make the call......

End of third OT between Washington and Manual - Peoria, IL - pjstar.com

Rich Mon Mar 12, 2012 01:57pm

The original call, IMO, was right. Count it.

Bear in mind, it took me about 4 views and stop action to come to that conclusion -- real-time, I thought the shot was late.

rockyroad Mon Mar 12, 2012 02:01pm

WOW!

That is one of the closest ones I have ever seen. I haven't done the stop action bit that Rich did, so it seems like it was late to me.

Took far more than four views and caught ball out of his hands before light goes on......count it. Doesn't get much closer.

Tough

Same here. It's tough but my first reaction was no good.

JugglingReferee Mon Mar 12, 2012 02:05pm

I showed the video to the seniors club at my local KoC and they love the videos.

2 guys said count in, 3 guys said it's late.

I still haven't made up my mind.

Saw this last week from a ref friend and I was thinking out loud.....you know game is tied, not 100 percent either way. Call it no good and settle it in OT.

Hindsight of course and would never have time to think this through.....but?

OK, game on.

Raymond Mon Mar 12, 2012 02:08pm

I thought is was good. But it's so close I definitely don't have a problem with them waving it off.

Actually, anyone who is not phased by the situation might suggest to go to OT4.

Second half of the equasion. C called it good. They got together and was overruled by the L who was also the R.

I'd sink or swim as a crew as it was that close unless R may have felt like I was musing about.

What the heck, having almost week to think about this, If I was calling official.....wave it off and go to yet another OT.

One voice on this call however, IMHO

cmhjordan23 Mon Mar 12, 2012 02:50pm

Game speed, close as it gets. Call could go either way. Slow Motion, Count It.

Duffman Mon Mar 12, 2012 02:55pm

Looked good in real time to me.

twocentsworth Mon Mar 12, 2012 03:15pm

wave it off...clock, LED lights, horn, then release....

loners4me Mon Mar 12, 2012 03:19pm

So the poll in the local paper is split, just like this forum. So, do you let the C make the call and go with it or get together, discuss and make a group decision.
If your the C do you allow your call to be overturned?

Does the fact its triple OT in state tourney change anything.
