It looked like a possible flop on the defender, but what about the push off on the offensive player driving to the basket?
|
Would like to see if the T had an equally emphatic wave off. The C definitely thought it was good.

i can easily see a different scenario: T comes in to ask if the C was 100% certain if shot was good....C says he wasn't 100% sure, T said he thought it was no good...."if we're not sure, we can always go to another overtime"..... |
Hard one
On first view, I thought no good. Of course, now we all know it was good.
I didn't think it was an offensive foul either, as the player didn't extend or displace the defender. Looked like a classic flop there, but the angle isn't great to be certain one way or the other. |

It looks like the C went right over to the T after the call, though you can't tell whether he went on his own or was called over. Guessing here but I'll say he was called over since I know if I was that strong with a game-winning shot I would've just started running off the court. Guessing again I'm thinking the T either said "are you sure?" or "the shot was late." Again, I'm still surprised the C changed his call because he was so emphatic that it was good. |

Remember these guys did not have replay to review like the NCAA guys. If the original call stood someone was going home. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Peace |
