Game clock shows time remaining in time-out -- against the rules?

A friend of mine relayed this story to me. In an NCAAW game, the game clock switches during time outs to a countdown of the time remaining in the time out. The visiting coach complains, saying that this is against the rules. I went to the NCAA book to see if this was the case, but I'm not sure. The relevant rule seems to be 1-18, but the only part that seems possibly applicable is that "A visible game clock shall be required." What do you think? |

Never heard of a coach making crap up about rules? I find that hard to believe.

I agree. The least important information that could be up there is the time left in the time out. I want to know the time left in the period.

Look before the TO time is put up (as you should on almost all stoppages and posession changes).
