Parent on the Floor

Injured player, coach beckoned. Parent comes down to the floor uninvited.

Your move.

26 Year Gap needs to queue up the pop corn dude for this one.

Technical foul, toss the parent from the gym

*end sarcasm*

I'm not doing anything.

Read this thread for the general consensus of how to handle this...and how most would NOT handle it.

Stand aside, wait until the player is removed, resume game.

Call chseagle to tazer the parent.

If the parent doesn't say anything to me, I'm probably not going to say/do anything. If the parent utters one word that is any type of complaint, after the parent sees to their child, I'm getting security to escort them out of the building.

Are you implying that there may be an official in Nevada who is not part of "most"?

It's the holiday season, lighten up on..............the parent! ;)

Are people posting these threads just for me? :D

Unfortunately, we had a situation last week in which a parent came out of the stands to harangue a young official and his veteran partner did not take care of business. :(

I still maintain that everyone is better off if the court is off-limits to the parents and spectators.

That's not what people disputed... just sayin. :)

a solution

Mandate that all parents of players on all levels are locked in a room away from the court and made to watch the game their kid plays in on a 6 in CRT TV set.

How soon can we get that implemented?

twocentsworth Mon Dec 12, 2011 10:16pm

can't we simply play games with a "No Parents Allowed" rule?...they're the ones that cause the most problems because they yell/scream, don't know the rules, and become so irrational that they cannot control their behavior.......

oh wait....on second thought....can we play game with a "No Coaches Allowed" rule as well?....:)
