Don't tempt me to find a YouTube video. It's a great scene, in a great movie. Burt Reynolds deserved, at least, an Academy Award nomination. Three nominations for Deliverance, none for Reynolds, no winners. It was his greatest movie role.

Billy, I agree with about 90% of your posts. Perhaps Burt deserved a nomination, but in my mind he was a movie star, but hardly a great actor.

Great actor? No. But he certainly stepped up his game in Deliverance. Part of the reason why the movie was nominated for Best Picture. 1972 was a tough year. Anybody remember The Godfather?

Hey? What's wrong with 10% of my posts?

Close. ... Year of the first inter-scholastic game I officiated.

Wow, a Forum member actually older than Mark T. DeNucci, Sr.

Hey Rob1968: When I was a high school sophomore, in an important, late season game, you may have incorrectly called me for a travel, when I didn't. That call kept me from helping my team to win the game. There was a college coach at the game and I missed out on a college scholarship. Because of that, I missed out on a career in the NBA. Most importantly, I missed out on marrying Kim Kardashian. Thanks. Belated, but, thanks. In retrospect, you may have done me a favor. And now that I think of it, I may have really traveled. Good call.

you promote what you permit.

Non-calling officials are enablers. :D
