legal?
A1 is fouled as time expires at the end of the 1st Q. Officials clear the lanes. Coach A requests to have her players on the line to help the shooter feel more comfortable. Coach B says absolutely not, there can be no players in the free throw spaces under these circumstances. Who is correct, A or B? Rule reference would help! thanks!

No one in the lane.

Rule 8, Section 1

ART. 3 . . . If the ball is to become dead when the last free throw for a specific penalty is not successful, players shall not occupy any spaces along the free throw lane.
