Rich Garcia made the call in the Yankee game.

Now, I'm really confused. I thought Rich Garcia was the lead singer for The Grateful Dead...and dead. ;)

No.. that was Andy Garcia..

Actually, it was Jerry Garcia. He also made excellent ice cream.

I'm in Florida with the family, haven't seen an American League game in over a week, and can only sporadically check the sports scores. . . and I'm still taking crap from Rocky!!!!

Screw you guys. I'm going home.

And by the way, the Yankees are off to their best start in like 130 years, and the Red Sox are only 3 back.

Chuck

Key word Chuck -- they are "back". This is where they start, and this is where they finish. Gotta luv that word.

After that last UConn-Tenn game, Tues, Mar 31, It really dropped off pretty badly. But then, that's part of the yearly cycle. We've all been at our Whistles Anonymous meetings for a few weeks now, and we're trying hard to keep the monkey off our backs.

As long as we can talk about baseball, and Cherry Garcia, and the Grateful Dead, no one needs to know about the Honig's catalog under the mattress...

... and if your from Australia and you have hardly any idea of what you ppl were talking about for the last two pages ...

hahahahaha - i don't get any of it - but i still have a crinkle cut smile that reads - "I do not get any of this, but ..."

It is not at all clear to me why MLB continues to allow interleague competition between major and minor league clubs, and count these games in the standings :)

Go Tiger CUBS ! ;)

I met Tramell in the U.P.

In 1984, I was living in the Detroit area and got free admission to Tigers games as an active duty military member. I went to 40 games in 1984, sitting in the left field grandstand about 10 rows back - saw a lot of Trammell and Whitaker from a distance, Willie Herndon up close. One of my best friends stepped in front of me to catch a Trammell home run, and we rushed home to see it on the 11:00 news. Great times. Then they moved us to an ugly corner of right field grandsatnd, and it just wasn't the same.

8-0, 13-1, 35-5, Morris's no hitter, Ernie Harwell calling the games on WJR - Seems so long ago . . . the big 0-9, 0-12 just doesn't have the same magic.
