How come it's ME?!?! How come it's not Tony, or Jeff, or Mark D?!?!?! Ohhhhhhhh man, I can tell it's gonna be a long summer. Sox won last night, tho. Took 'em 16 innings to do it. . .

Juulie - If you do not already have accesses to the 3 videos on the following link have your board get them. One can talk until they are blue in the face about block/charge and traveling but a video of the violation is worth 10,000 words. http://www.nfhs.org/catalog/pubcat02a.pdf

Try to schedule a game were you have experienced refs calling it. Have your class in the stands for the first half and ask questions on why they think X was called and Y was not. For the second half have them on the floor behind the bench so they can see what a coach is seeing.

I like this idea, although I'm not sure we'll have time to squeeze it in. Worth working on, though.

Because they aren't BoSox fans...but at least your team won last night. Not only did the Mariners lose, they were shut out!!! I really don't like Freddie Garcia...

Not that I care one way or another about the BoSox or Yankees, but last night, ESPN Classic showed the 1978 Bucky Dent game.

Sorry BoSox fans. It just goes on and on and on........

Hey, I caught it too!

Ya know, it amazes me that every time they show this game the Sox manage lose it yet again. You would think that just once someone would plunk Dent with a fastball in the kidneys...just once. Anyway, at one point Nettles struck out on a nasty slider...I muttered "damn"...my wife just smiled & shook her head.

Imagine! If this was a Bill Buckner doll, that ball never would have made it through his legs! Of course, he might have had trouble standing up!
