"Intramurals" is the correct spelling for what most folks mis-pronounce "intermurals". Intra- means "within" and inter- means "between". So intramurals are activities where the competition is within an institution, whereas intermurals are between institutions. I don't do the grammar thing very often on this board, because no one really gives a hoot, but you asked....
