Chuck,
I did not say that we practice sports officiating as a profession in the same manner that I practice engineering as my profession. But sports officiating by its nature meets the definition of a profession. But sports officiating is an advocation because we do it for the "fun" and satisfaction that we receive for doing a job well done. MTD, Sr.
