Who gets the ball (and where)?

A1 dribbles up the court but teamate A2 commits a personal foul for a push (on B2) and a turnover results. While I'm reporting the foul B2 gets in A2's face and earns himself a technical foul. Team A is not over the limit for fouls so Team A will shoot 2 for the T. The question is a) who gets the ball after the T? b) If the foul committed by A2 was intentional does that change anything? Where are the throw in spots in both situations? Thanks for your help.

The fouls are penalized in the order in which they occur. It doesn't matter whether the first foul was intentional or not. The T was last, so you'll always shoot 2 and give the ball to the shooting team.

Now, if your "T" was an intentional "T", for example a push after the ball was dead, you would shoot the fouls in the order they happened, just as BBR said, and then take the ball out for the "T" at the spot of the intentional "T" foul.

No sir, that's not true. A technical foul always results in the team getting the ball, putting it in play from the division line.

Only intnetinal personal fouls result in the ball being inbounded from the nearest spot.

Hmmmmm, thanks for clearing that up BBR. You are right, I guess a T is a T, no matter what kind.

(Technical foul shots (if other shots are not to follow) are ALWAYS followed by a throw in at the division line opposite the table, never at the spot of the foul.)

The situation as you describe it will result in the T free throws by Team A only (any player, lane cleared), then Team A gets the ball at the division line opposite the table.

In the other situation, if the first foul by A2 had been intentional, followed by the T by B2, then you would administer the foul shots in the order that they occured. So, B2 gets 2 free throws (if he has not been disqualified with a flagrant T) with the lane cleared. Then, Team A (any player) gets the 2 T free throws, and ball at division line.

If you have an intentional foul only, that results in 2 free throws by the fouled player with the lane cleared, then same team gets the ball at the spot nearest the foul. If that happens to be on the endline, he can run, if the last shot entered the basket.
