This is from when I was a player about seven years ago or so. I was having an awful game and as I went, so went our team (I wasn't the star, more the catalyst)....

Ref: (TWEET) Foul on 5 black.....
Me: "Oh come on! We're getting hammered and you call THAT?"
Ref: "Would you like a technical?"
Me: "Sure, I'd love one. Top off my day..."
Ref: (you can guess what went here)
Me: (softly, to myself) "That's just great" (trying to avoid eye contact with coach........)
Ref: "Do you want another one?"
Me: No, I'm all set, thanks. I'm good...."

He obviously gave me nothing the rest of the year, we saw him two more times I believe, including playoffs.

The funniest part is I did a game with this ref a few weeks ago and he remembered me. We got along great. Time heals all wounds.
