If you see the play, you clearly know what the clock should be doing. This post was more a follow-up on a previous one in which I noted that we had a couple of refs and a timekeeper that did not know the ball becoming live does not always start the clock, and the ball becoming dead does not always stop it.

It was more to play on your assumptions, and then to make that point about live ball and dead ball.
