Need advice.. Could any/all of you guys give me the correct interpretation of the rule regarding subtitutions in the last 59.9 seconds of theh second and addtional periods. It (NCAA Rules)tells you when it is not allowed so can I then say that any other time during the last 59.9 seconds is OK? What about if a violation is called, do the teams still need to call a time out to sub?
newborn62,
Under a minute the timer should not buzz to allow a substitute to enter. If a whistle stops the clock (violation, foul) then the substitute may be admitted.
And, of course, if a time-out is granted the sub may enter.
