1. Whats the call when neither Lead or Trail knows for sure if a shot is a 2 or 3 attempt? I'll try to answer, Call a 2 or 3 and sell it. Shot was in Trail area. Trail called it a two and the team of course got upset! We had a get together and I couldn't help so we stayed with the called.

2. Is a TO allowed prior to the second shot of a Technical foul? BTW, called my first T tonite, guy was really on my partner and I came to the rescue. Felt real Good!!

1. If you screw up and neither one of you was on the shooter when the shot was taken, call it a two. Unless you have definite knowledge of it being a three, it wasn't. Then - learn from your mistake.

2. Yes. Why would you think it couldn't? The ball is dead before it is at the disposal of the shooter. Even if the shooter has the ball, his team may legally request a timeout.

Mark, my partner is a very experienced Ref and said "we goofed by allowing the TO". I called the TO based on what you stated. Thanks!!

You have found yet another "very experienced Ref" who doesn't know the rules.
