Question

Questions, based on curiosity (and a self-check for sanity).

1. How many games are people working? Per week? Season?
2. Do you feel you are working as many as you would like?
3. Are your games at the level you prefer?
4. Do you accept games at levels higher than you feel you might be prepared to do?
5. Any other insights?

1. Number per week varies depending upon the time of the season for me. Total so far, 33 varsity, 13 subvarsity.

2. Yes, for the most part.

3. Yes.

4. Yes, and lower too. I work the schedule I'm given!

5. Other than be happy and enjoy what you've got.

My number per week also varies depending on time of year, activities of my children and my real job.

1) So far this season, 43 games worked (6 varsity) and 24 more scheduled (including rec ball - 2 more varsity).

2) Working about as many as I can given the above factors.

3) No, but are at the level I expected. I'm in my second year of officiating (first year in my chapter) so I have more varsity than I expected but not as many as I would like

4) I'll work any game given to my by the assignors. If the chapter assignor thinks I'm ready to work a game at a certian level/school, who am I to argue?

5) Keeping working hard and learning the job...bigger and better assignments are coming.

Wink Here goes it!!

1. Usually I will work only about 3 varsity game a week. I can and do work more during the Thanksgiving and Christmas times. Mainly because Christmas and Thanksgiving Tournaments are held almost every day.

2. Yes. I would just want to work a better Christmas Tournament.

3. Yes, I am pretty much where I need to be.

4. No, I think I am capable of doing any level. I really would not know until I officiate there first.

5. No.

Peace

1)So far I've done 33 total(18 varsity) and have 24 left(12 varsity). So I'll have done at least 57 probably a few more. Usually about nights per week with 2 games a night.

2)So far I'm working plenty, but my schedule dies down tremendously in Feb.

3)Yes

4)Yes, if the assignor thinks I can do the game then I must be ready.

5)No.

1. I've averaged about 4 games per week since September (in Ontario, girls' season starts in September, with the boys starting in November).

2. I'd love to do more games, but we only have so many games to go around. Given that, I'm happy. My wife would kill me if I did more games, so it's a breakeven....lol.

3. Yep. Our assignor is good about spreading people around, and giving people opportunities when deserved.

4. I haven't run into that situation. If I did, I'd probably accept the game and take it as both a complement and a challenge.

5. Uh, no.

1. About 2-3/week
2. Perfect amount of games for me
3. Yes, for the levels I work now, but I would prefer to work a higher level.
4. I am not offered, these games, but I feel I am ready and would accept them.
5. No
