I know on a throw-in, if A-1 is in the frontcourt he can go into the backcourt a receive the throw-in. I'm confused on this scenerio. A-1 is in the frontcourt deflects A-2's throw in into the backcourt and A-1 is the first to touch is this backcourt violation? I say no. Waht do you guys think?

Nope...no team control on a throw-in, so you can't have a backcourt violation...

You are correct. In the situation you describe, there was no control in front court so there is no violation.

Unless there is possession/control to "establish" the front court there can be no backcourt. So you are correct.
