A first for me....

Had a held ball off the opening tip. Ended up with one of the original jumpers in the rejump.

I'm sure it's not that rare, but I've never had it happen.

Cool! Never seen or heard of it happening with one of the original jumpers. Please explain.

Seriously?

The ball is tipped and B2 touches the ball, where A1 immediately ties it up with B2.

I didn't say it couldn't happen, just never seen or heard of it happening.

I've never had a jump ball tied up without one of the teams gaining possession first. I guess I haven't lived.

At least I knew the rule and how to enforce it.

Smile Great teaching example

Last season we had two tie-ups in a row off of the initial jump-ball. It makes a great example in the mentoring I do with younger officials.

Had it five times in the last four years. I'm on a roll.

Slip in a boys game ball in a girls game. You'll get plenty more.
