Naw, the final score was 6-4.

Piss off, dickhead.

Wow! I don't think that MLB even has that a game that long.

So if this was a 7-inning game, then the game was tripled in length.

That'd be like a basketball game going to 16 overtimes!

The longest game in MLB history took place on May 9, 1984, when the Chicago White Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers played a game that lasted 25 innings, a total time of 8 hours and 6 minutes. The Sox eventually won the game 7-6

Last night, Boys' V we had 2 OT.

What types of rules changes would you like see done for OT/Multiple OTs?

4 OT's. No rule changes. Why fix something that isn't broken?

FIBA uses the AP arrow to start any and all OT periods and I don't even like that.

Question 1: 7
Question 2: No rule change, just a mechanic change. No long switches

Actually, it's not a joke. Maybe it's become a joke, but it's really not. You've only been posting on the Forum for a few years, so you don't know the whole story. It is my contention that Mark Padgett, like any other red-blooded, God-fearing, basketball official, actually loves the excitement of working an overtime game. That his anti-overtime posturing is actually a ruse. Why? I don't know. Only he knows. It is also my contention, that he has been putting forward this Forum persona for so long, that he may actually have started believing it himself. Since he'll never give it up voluntarily, I am forced to constantly hound him about this ruse, hoping to break him down. I won't stop this campaign until I take my last Forum breath, or Mark Padgett takes his last Forum breath, whichever comes first.

Would anyone like to see the players be allowed a 6th foul should the game go into overtime? Teams get an extra timeout already...

Some of these games that go so long end up being decided by reserves and reserves of reserves.

Some may say, not our problem. Just throwing it out there.

According to the Google Jurassic Referee-English translator, this actually means "Merry Christmas". Really. You can look it up.

Uh, no. I like the excitement of going home on time.

3 to make 2 would accomplish the same thing.

Back in VT, I was filling in for a sick varsity official in the 2nd half of that game. A last second outside shot, not close to the 3 point line, tied the score and sent it into OT. I don't mind them once in awhile. Probably get one per season. And I have already had my quota this year.
