There is nothing in the Mechanics Manual about not bouncing the ball in the backcourt - including on the end line.

3.2.2.A.8 specifically says " When administering throw-ins on the frontcourt end line the ball shall be handed to the thrower.

That doesn't mean you won't get chastised for bouncing it though!

Just one more reason we do not use that book. ;)

Really? I've never been chastised for bouncing on the endline in the BC. But I'm not bouncing it across the lane, either.

With no pressure, stand around the FT Line extended and bounce the ball back to the endline. Drives me bananas,but apparently its allowed when your name is Tim Higgins.
