I've seen too many recoveries take longer, because someone "feels fine", overextends themselves and makes things worse. Believe me, I was tempted to do the same thing after my back surgery, but grumbled all through the recovery, did what they said, avoided the temptation to do everything when I felt fine, and I've been great ever since. (Even the scars from the lobotomy have healed nicely...)
