Welpe, that includes the timer not being able to see the officials chop in time due to other bodies being in the way (which is a rarity), but does happen if coaches or players are big boned.

...

How the hell could you not see the U1 chop the clock during the jump ball? He's either right in front of the table (2-man) or at the 28' line (3-man).

In the video, you cannot see either official chop the clock.

During jump balls, yes U1 can easily be seen, I was meaning the situation in the video. I was using the jump ball as an example of the tip the announcer mentioned.

I apologize then. I thought you were discussing a jump ball. :o

He didn't get much help from his partner, who we see at :05 of the video at the far FT line. There are no players past the division line so what is he doing down there?--Watching the paint dry!

He should have picked a position near the division line to help.

We only see him again at :16 on the clip as he tries to run past the celebration. Very funny. :D

At the 54 second mark of the clip, while showing a replay from a different camera, the camera follows the shot, pans back to the shooter and you can see the trail beside the shooter facing/running towared the table.

Where are these found? In some book containing the rules?

The 2010-2011 NFHS Basketball Rules Book (I have a hard copy of it, I've had it since October 25 & have been reading parts of it everyday since then).

I'm not convinced. Better check with snopes.

It looks to me like he started a bit to close to black's basket, as there was a player for each team behind him. Then, he's gone, as he must have high tailed it, not expecting the steal.
