New Rules & P.O.E.

I am leading a 15 minute discussion at our Officials Association meeting regarding new rules and POE and I was wondering if anyone on this forum had any thoughts about what to emphasize, given the short period of time I have I am looking for ideas on how to get points acroos quickly and effectively.

I'd focus on consistency and hand checking. Those might be the same thing.

Less emphasis on headbands / wristbands.

I *think* the NFHS has a .ppt you can use.

The NFHS powerpoint took nearly an hour to get through at my board's clinic last week. The concussion stuff took forever to get through.

Yes, but I also had a clinician go through the entire think in about 15 minutes.

So, the OP could start with the .ppt and skip to the sections he wanted.

Rule changes are minimal. Read them and move on. As Bob said, hand checking, rough play, etc would be the most important to cover.
