What is the impact of muffs, batted balls etc. on a backcourt call? I have got conflicting answers if these meet the Team Control standard.

Thanks for Helping out a Newbie!
Neither a muffed or batted ball causes team control to end, nor does it create team control.

Team control begins when a player is holding/dribbling the ball inbounds.

It ends when the ball becomes dead, the ball is stolen, or a shot is taken.

Any muff or bat before one of those three things occurs does NOT cause team control to end.
