Two Plays
NCAA Rules for Both; FED rules for #2:
1) Team A has the ball for a throw-in with 0.3 seconds on the SHOT clock. A2 catches the throw in and then releases a try before the shot clock horn sounds. The ball goes through the basket. Ruling and references? 2) Time expires in the fourth quarter with the game tied. While the teams are in the bench area, A1, who was a Player at the end of the quarter and who has not been replaced by a substitute, disrespectfully addresses an official. A1 is assessed a technical foul. Ruling and references? |

However, I see what you are saying as 5-1.9 states "game clock." As does, 5-7.4 Quote:
A1 is charged with a technical foul, indirect to the HC. Two free throws to start overtime, ball for throw-in opposite table. AP is set towards A's basket when it's at the disposal of B. 4-32-2 4.32.2 Situation 5.6 Situation NCAA-M (somewhat a guess) 5-7.7 A1 is charged with a Class A technical foul. 10-5.1a Two free throws to start overtime. Go POI which is the jump ball. Last edited by tjones1; Mon Oct 18, 2010 at 11:43am. |

I thought that the OT is an extension of the 4th quarter. Thus not an intermission and no indirect 'T' to the HC.

So, in NCAA, A1 is bench personnel. I don't recall a specific definition of Intermission in FED |

I'd use case book play 10.4.1SitB as guidance also and charge the head coach with an indirect "T". Last edited by Jurassic Referee; Tue Oct 19, 2010 at 09:35am. |

Okay -- now that I have my books: Intermission is NOT defined in rule 4 in FED. It is defined in 5-5-1 and 5-7-1. The time before an OT period is an intermission, and A1 is bench personnel.
