Players are going to do stupid things...no one - not even the high and mighty D-I officials Nevada so enjoys calling out - be prepared for all the stupid things players will do. In both of these cases, the players were quite sneaky about it, and chose time and place where the officials would have a hard time seeing what they were doing.

In the end, the players got exactly what they deserved, and one would hope that the respective universities would take care of bidness here.

I like you: you're just as naive as I am! :)

Not necessarily, he didn't say he was the "one."

He said "one would hope." He didn't say he "would hope." "One" could refer to anyone.

Don't worry. I didn't get it either...

But that is quite often the case when Snaqs is posting!! :D

Anyway...I do still have just enough naivete to expect that the Coach or AD of these schools would take care of these clowns.

Oh. How disappointing. I was so looking forward to you posting something too clever for me. :(

And the Seton Hall coach, scumbag that he is, whined about it too.

Plenty of time for him to whine now. Seton Hall canned him this morning.

And now he'll get hired at ESPN and treated like an expert on officiating issues.

I'm not sure which of those situations is worse...the Seton Hall coach whining about his player getting ejected for punching a guy in the nuts or the Jackson State player who gets ejected for punching a guy in the nuts and then mouths off about it as he leaves the court:eek: Like everyone else....all I can say is WOW!

I know Roger and he is absolutely good people. He gives a TON back to officiating and has his head screwed on straight. Does not have the outsized ego that some officials at that level sometimes get. I am sure that he spent a VERY big portion of the post game going over what happened and how they can avoid it happening again. I am fairly certain that he is glad they got it right, even if they had to go to the monitor.
Mike is also a good guy and a great official, but I apparently turned this into the Roger Ayers tribute thread!

The two players had just been tangled at the opposite end of the court resulting in one of them going to the floor. Any one with half a brain would have kept an eye on those two for the next couple of trips. They didn't. I find that less than stellar officiating. Feel free to disagree.

I would love to watch a game you officiate.
