I'm going to disagree. There is just as much time in a running clock AAU game as in any other. The convo should be quite short. And it's easy to tell the clock operator to stop the clock if it is an issue. One problem with these games is that too often officials don't educate coaches about expected behavior. I've had pretty good luck in these games just by having the dialog with anupset coach that most officials won't have.
