Final games tonight

A DH at home. One of the crew working the 2nd game is in the IN hall of fame for officiating. I have worked with him a couple times this season and had a chance to sit next to him during a couple of Christmas Tournament games which allowed me to learn a lot about positioning and game management.

Good for you! I am envious! I've greatly benefited from sittting by senior reffs at ball games and discussing action.

The down side is that the season is over. I have a business trip next week, so I had to turn back a couple of games including one with my assignor. And since this is my first year in the assn I am not eligible for any post-season games.

Some of the best learning comes from our Friday night meetings at the local watering hole after the games. Nothing like rehashing plays around a table of 10-20 officials with varying levels of experience.
Pretty nice if you can sit with a Hall of Famer!!!
