It's happened to me twice and each time I take the player over and make him explain to the coach why we will be starting the game with free throws.

It gets completely away from the "my player wouldn't do that" discussion.

Interesting variation to what we did Bob, and I like it.

We watched the coaches reaction from across the floor.

It would definitely be better to be standing there and listen to the player give "his side of the story." Nice!
