OOB A2 does not go directly onto court

I think there is a gap in the rules. Here is the sitch:

After a made basket, A1 takes ball OOB for throw-in. A2 on other side of basket also goes OOB for potential switch-aroo play. A1 inbounds the ball to A3.

I know the inbounder, A1 is required to go directly onto the court. However I am not aware of a rule requiring A2 to go directly onto the court.

Might I have missed something in my reading?
