OT - for Camron

Hey Camron - did you notice your signature phrase -“The trouble with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.” (Margaret Thatcher) - was quoted in a letter to the editor in today's Oregonian?

I didn't save the letter but it was regarding the proposed government health plan.

So, you don't get The Oregonian? What do you read in the morning in the throne room, the NF rulebook?

Doesn't everyone now have a 27 or 32" LCD flat screen in the bathroom now? I'm sure Cam watches that.

Not The Oregonian, that's for sure. I won't even accept it when they offer me a six months free.

But it's great for wrapping fish. Besides, it saves me the trouble of doing the daily Jumble on line. Oh yeah, my wife does the daily and Sunday crosswords. I guess that's where she learns all her cross words. HAHA.

They thown enough of those free "FoodDays" on my driveway to provide me with more than enough newspaper for other purposes. I wish I could get them to stop, but no matter what you do, they keep littering my driveway with them.

The funny thing about the Oregonian is that anyone who's even remotely conservative complains that it's way too liberal, and anyone who's even remotely liberal complains that it's way too conservative. Those of us in the mushy middle just complain about everything.

On the Oregon (particularly Portland/Salem/Eugene) skewed spectrum of things, those that are "remotely conservative" are really left of center and those that are lean right are considered staunch conservatives.

Juulie - the D's in Oregon don't use the term "liberal" anymore. It's too inflammatory. They use "progressive". I know. Yesterday, I attended District 35 nominating convention to nominate a replacement for the state rep here who has resigned. Not a single person there ever used that word. They all used "progressive". I guess it's called "newspeak".
