Racial comments by HS Teacher

She should have been tossed from the game and I think she should be subject to an equal consequence as if a white teacher/coach used the word. After all, consistency is part of officiating, and should be with school boards too, when it includes such matters.
If the statements in the article are true, then the school board should not have acted as they did, but that by no means suggests that Parker is relieved of the consequences of her actions. If the school board was subject to a penalty, then that is fine too. She should have known that the n-word being culturally acceptable is a crock and not worth the sand foundation that it stands on. It seems that Parker is racist because it is logical that a person would believe the basis used when filing a suit. There is no indication that race was the reason that the school board apparently lied to her. There are many other reasons, although they may not be good reasons.

As an educator, her actions shock me. However, I'm even more shocked that the administration lied to her about the complaints, and disciplined her on such basis. I do applaud the administration for taking some action, but their approach was just inappropriate. Makes me wonder about the entire school system they have.
