Agreed. I see it too many times where the dribbler picks up his dribble driving to the basket, gets fouled and the foul is called not in the act of shooting. If he picks up his dribble on the drive before getting fouled, let 'em finish.

I agree with you, but want too add that contact doesn't have to be light. You can have a pretty good slap on the arm that doesn't have much of an effect.
"Yeah, coach, there was contact, but your player got by it and had an open layup."
