Men's league last night: blue has the ball with seconds left in Q2. "8... 7... 6... 5..." And then there's a steal by white. "4... 3-2-1." White jacks up what would be described as a 4-point shot.

Tweet. Unsporting.

The old barking dog trick?

I'm confused. I thought it was the end of the period.

I know you didn't mean "are". Did you mean "arm" or "arse"?

When white stole the ball, blue continued to count down, but instead of "3... 2... 1..." with the ellipses representing 1 second of elapsed time, they went "3-2-1", all within about a half-second.

That caused white to shoot the ball prematurely, when in reality, they still had ~ 2 seconds left.

There is no visible clock in men's leagues games here; the league doesn't get to use the HS clocks. They play running time 25min halves and stop clock in the last 2 minutes if the gap is < 16 points.

If that warrants a "T", then I think you are looking for trouble.

That might be true in other games, but not men's league games here.

He loses his mind again, I'm trail in front of his bench. I tell him, "Coach that's enough."

He responds "I'll say when that's enough"

Bang.

First T.

Warranted?

No brainer. Automatic. Good call.

Do you think maybe you left out a little bit of info in your first post? ;)

I thought about it, but I am working at the same time, and was hoping that the ... and - would show the difference in the counting down. Even with a visible clock, there is no need to attempt to deceive. Just mho.

How 'bout now Coach?

What an idiot. Whack him and ask, "How about now Coach, is that enough or would you like one more?" He wants to be the decider. LOL:D

Last month, I had a coach who didn't like a call. Gave him a brief explanation as I went by.

Him: "That was horrible!"
Me: "That's enough, Coach."
Him: "That was horrible!"
Me: "I've heard enough, Coach!" (Showing the stop sign.)
Him: "Yeah, I've heard enough, too. And that was horrible!"

After the game, my partner said how much he enjoyed the whole exchange. His favorite part was my two-fingered T signal. He got a kick out of that, for some reason.

So to answer your original question, good T.

You are more tolerant than I am.

I really mean it when I say something like "That's enough."
