For us "less informed"

Who is John Diebler?

One of the officials I presume. Then the challenge becomes... which one?
I am willing to bet he is wearing black and white.

Ooh, you are oh, so wrong....a cult hero, hoops player from Ohio. Do a search for his name!

John Diebler is a player for Ohio State that actually starts. I believe that he was an All-American as a high school Senior.

There is a running joke about this kid, because several years ago there was a poster that came here talking about Diebler as if he was the next coming. So this board has had a running joke about John Diebler since that time and how great he is, almost in a Tim Tebow kind of way. Mick is just playing into the joke like many of us have.

Peace

Imagine the super powers of a being that is able to drain free throws via satellite. All Hail the Great and powerful Diebler!

At the last time-out, Diebler ran into the stands and gave CPR to a fan that had become overly excited. On his way back to the team huddle, he sold two popcorns and an OSU t-shirt, then cleaned up a water spill on the hardwood to avoid a delay of game call against his team. As always, he is amazing.

Too bad that he didn't make them in the basket, they would have counted.

You failed to mention that he was also the color commentator for this game. I am quite impressed.

For what it's worth, Hightower was working this game and sold a traveling call from the Lead position all the way from the endline to well into the lane.

This isn't a criticism mind you, I just found it funny.

Is it true when Diebler jumps to dunk or shoot...he's not actully jumping...but rather pushing the court down and bringing the goal down to his desired level?
