1st Time

A milestone tonight. I've done a lot of boys varsity games, but tonight was the first time I've ever been the referee. Had a gut feeling driving to the game it would be that way. Good game? Nope? Good teams? Definitely a nope. Easy game to officiate? Yep? Feel good to toss it and be R first time in boys V? YEP!

How did your pre-game conference go. I remember rehearsing my speech for weeks before I got to use it

About 45 seconds. Been doing V pre-games in 3 sports for several years. I follow the KISS rule. Just first time for V boys BBall tonight.

Maybe it's OK to do it in the Land Of Lincoln, but we're not allowed to kiss the players here in the Constitution State. Other than my son, I've never kissed a boy, but I often wondered what my first time would be like. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
