Think of your jump shooter catching a pass about 15 feet away from the basket, catches it on the move on one foot, and jumps off the foot landing on two feet before going back up for a jump shot.

It's really cool when a kid does it wrong on one end, you call the travel, and his opponent does it perfectly for a three point shot on the other end. Coaches love that.

OK ... not seeing that or it happening very often.

What about the dribbler ending his/her dribbleafter leaping into the air and junp stopping. They can pivot from there, or not?

Depends.

Jump, catch, land on one foot, jump, land on two feet: no pivot allowed.

Jump, catch, land on two feet. pivot allowed.

I've seen it multiple times in a single game. I had the situation I mentioned, too; home coach hated that.
