They didn't call anything, they merely blew their whistle's and huddled. Then they figured it out, that's my version. I see what you're saying, though. I just invision it all happening very fast and them being a little shell-shocked and maybe one of them giving the closed fist when two or three whistles blow, they come together and decide on the violation before the foul similar to travel before a foul in the paint. I don't think you have an error committed until you report something or put the ball back in play.

Here is what those officials did. They called the foul and then huddled up do figure out what just happened.

I read this as beep, foul, Oh, lets go back a call a violation. My question to you is, if you can go back say.. 2 or 3 or 4 sec., to call a violation that you decided you missed earlier, then how far into a game can we go back to correct a call you missed?

I don't think you can win this one, devdog69.

Sorry, I just don't buy it. Try this for size, A1 travels, you pass on the call (can't say why, it just happened too fast), A1 passes to A2 and B2 fouls A2 going for the steal, TWEET! This is not a traveling call upon further review. It's a foul - the travel did not happen cause you didn't call it.

Same in this case. Just because the foul wasn't reported doesn't allow you to go back and revisit a violation you maybe shudda called.
