Free Throws/AP arrow

Federation Rules:
2nd quarter has ended. Coach A comes onto the court to greet his players. As he walks past an official he starts to complain in such a way he receives 2 Technical fouls. Coach A is removed from the game. Team B has the AP arrow.
When does Team B shoot the free throws? When Team B completes the throw-in to start the 3rd quarter is the AP arrow switched?
Is the ruling different for NCAA?

Fed: The 4 free throws will be taken to start the 3rd quarter, along with the subsequent throw-in. The arrow is not reversed, no matter which team it favours.

Fixed it for you. He said "Fed" rules.

In both rule sets the 4 FTs are administered to begin the 2nd half (3rQ in NFHS) and are attempted at the basket nearest the shooting team's bench (2nd half goal).

In NFHS the arrow is not reversed as possession of the ball is part of the penalty for the T, but in NCAA the game would resume at the POI which is the AP throw-in to begin the 2nd half, so the arrow would change.

Did you notice that I had the "u" in another font?

I did notice that. It made it a bit more of a pain in a$$ to remove. More characters to delete.

Still no "u" required.

Both spellings are correct, so I will continue to include the u.

It's my way of venting my frustration that should really be directed at those who misuse such words as "myself," "yourself," etc. Sorry you got caught in the cross-fires of my pet peeves.

NCAA ruling:

The second half will begin with 4 free throws by any Team B player penalty for the 2 Class A technical fouls (Class A will replace Direct Technical starting this season). The difference is that the ball will be put in play at the point of interruption which is the team favored by the AP arrow.

Thanks for the link to the upcoming rules changes, however that document does not say what you claim. There is nothing about new terminology (Class A or Direct) only a change in the location of the throw-in following a flagrant T in NCAAW.

Perhaps there is a different document that contains the terminology?

How many 'Team Fouls' for the 2nd half. Two (2) for Federation. What about NCAA?

Speaking for myself I appreciate the honesty and humility that yourself displays in this post.

There is. I was given one at camp this past weekend. This change applies to NCAAM only. (Sorry, I don't have a link.)
