I like that answer. :)

You've got experience with small, short buses?

It's a sad story, really. He kept getting lost on the regular sized bus, so they moved him to something more.... proportional.
That's not the sad part, though. The sad part is that because he was riding the "smaller" bus, he found himself sitting next to Dan every morning on the way to school.

That's just full of mean-spiritedness.
I'd cry, but I'm wearing a uniform today.

So now I'm thinking we're really stuck on angry... not that I give a ffff, just saying

Adam Mon May 19, 2008 04:44pm

I think I have a right, I got thrown under the bus earlier today by someone who apparently doesn't give a ffff.

No, no, no...I never once saw Dan on that bus. Now M&M and I had some good laughs on the way to school.:p

Good point.

Don't worry, the skid marks will eventually wear out & no one will ever know.

Nice to know.
Is this the part where we stand around in a circle, holding hands, and chanting, "Yes we can!"?

You didn't throw M&Ms at the bus driver, did you?

Sorry, but, well, actually no we can't.

They were upside down so he read them as W&Ws

Thank God. I can't say for sure, but I probably would have puked on someone's shoes.

Only half of them.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've been told we shouldn't set our thermostat to 72 degrees. So I need to go home and flip it down to 71 degrees.

No no no no. You missed the message.

You can set your thermostat to whatever you want.

What's gonna be different is you won't have any energy for it to make a difference - that's the change you can believe in. And what you'll do is sit in your house praying for the weather to change before you freeze to death.

That's the hope part.

Delayed call

There is a casebook play if the coach was yelling obscenities to allow layup and T after the play. In this situation, I like the earlier suggestion. Timeout to coach as soon as layup goes in and an earful from me after reporting the timeout.

I'd skip the earful. Coach will get the point with the delayed granting of the TO. If he's already angry, lecturing him will result in a couple Ts. If he's not, it will result in one T. No need to lure him in by giving him a coaching/sportsmanship seminar on the court.
