Great Question

I was out in Lawrence this past weekend for a Big XII camp and had someone ask a great question regarding the number of times a person should go to a camp before he/she says to themselves I need to go another direction (as in a different league, or lower level). The person talking at the moment to the group did not have an answer for that question. Didn't know if any of you have heard that question answered.

I have found that the human gut instinct is pretty neat.

And perhaps the guy at camp asking the question was shortchanged in that dept.

Therefore I think your estimate is low by a factor of at least ten. :)

I almost went with 70 times 70, but that was the answer to a different question. :)

The answer is either

42

or

69, Dude!

I like 42, and I'm pissed I didn't think of it first. I don't like you any more.

As many times as you can afford it and it is worth your time to continue to attend. And if that is 100 times for a person, then it is a 100 times. ;)

Peace

Well I, for one, am going to take the high road on this one...

Neener, neener, neener. :P

(Anybody less high brow would not have capitalized the first 'N')

A high horse on a low road doesn't mean the road is high. :)

Oh, and I checked snopes, and "high road" is a myth.

You know what I think would be helpful? I think it would be helpful if someone offered their opinion on the actual question that was asked. I can't answer it because I'm young and I've only been to one camp. One of my least favorite things about this board is that when someone asks a question and one of you "veteran" posters doesn't like it or thinks it's silly, you're quick to fill up the thread with nonsense. I'm sure some of you could actually answer the question but chose not to.

Posts number 2 and 9 are serious, and correct, answers.

I hope that's helpful.

I think if you've been a few times and really believe you are ready to work for that assignor, have a frank discussion with the assignor about his opinion of your ability and career track. It's definitely been helpful to me to know where I stand with the different assignors so that I can make better decisions with my time and energy. If you are going to a camp strictly to improve your ability, then go until you feel like you've gleaned what you can from that staff.
