It makes up for the professional demeanor we perpetually project on the court. :D |

why are we talking about plays that have a 1 in a million chance of happening? Has anybody actually seen this happen?

This example shows that officials need to know what a try is, when it ends, what a basket is, how they're scored, and how end-of-quarter restrictions could alter the rulings. I read once early in my career that a basketball official makes some sort of a decision every 3 seconds. Personally, I think it's more often than that. |

Years ago, I had a half-court heave shot attempt that hit a player in the head, bounced up and went through the basket...unfortunately my partner - who was T in two person - waved the shot off because time had expired, so we didn't get to have the argument of two vs. three or anything...and the poor 7th grade kid had a headache for nothing!

Thank for your input
I never had this shot but was watching an AAU game, my sons, when the coach posed this question to me told him I did not want to give him an answer off the top of my head when I could take the time to ask other opinions. My guess is this may have happened in one of his games and was trying to see someone elses opinion.
