Talking NBA union rep comment

I have one of those calendars that lists a funny quote each day (gee, there's a surprise, huh?). Today's quote is from NBA union rep Billy Hunter. During the last collective-bargaining negotiations, he made this comment on how far apart the union and the owners were in coming to an agreement.

"On a scale of one to 10, I would say 60 to 65 percent."

No wonder those negotiations take so long.

Another doozie came from Patrick Ewing, I believe during the lockout in 1994 or 1995, when he said, "We might make a lot of money but, we also spend a lot of money."

My personal favorite came from Bill Walton during a contract negotiation when he said it was "like left-handed aliens eating tapioca during an ice storm in a barber shop in Peoria without wiping their shoes first."

At least, I think that's what he said.

Maybe, but I'm sure his meds had something to do with it.

One of my favorite athlete quotes:

"It will work out, somehow. That's a hell of a duo right there, Marbury, Crawford and Houston." - Carmelo Anthony

Unfortunately, Carmelo's next quote will be, "Yes, your Honor."

And the question will be, "Mr. Anthony, do you understand the charges being brought against you?

Magic Johnson, when he was with the lakers commenting about all the movie stars hanging around the team "They wants to be us, and we wants to be them"

Good grief. Local (Denver) radio station is announcing that you can go to their website and see his mug shot. Seriously.
