Yeah, it is different. Very few coaches sound on the way Knight does. I've got better things to do than to listen to Bobby talk about officials. That's when I turn his moronic talk off.

Speaking of morons, Gottlieb is as stupidest as they come.

Well, I really do not know who you can listen to that does not go on and on about the officiating when calls are not to their liking. I can point you to a web site that does not have famous coaches and all they do is complain about the officiating no matter what the contest is. Knight is not different. And you do not need this to be about coaches, Will McDoungouh (sp?) went on and on about how many fouls were called in a Big East Contest (I think WV and UConn). It is just what they do. I do not listen to any commentators for their insight on officiating. If I did I would always be frustrated. Also Knight was not the only one going off about the call. The Pac-10 Tournament commentators covering the Washington State-Oregon game went off about the call in the Arizona State game. (sorry his name escapes me right now, but he went to UCLA under Wooden) Knight just made his comments on ESPN, they are all the same as far as I am concerned.

Yes, and he proves it every time he opens his mouth.

I am starting to understand why I loved attending the Big Ten Tournament every year for the last 7 years or so. I usually do not have to hear a lot of the stupidity. Man, I should have gone to Indianapolis. Thank God I am going to Peoria in the morning.

Peace

When I first read this sentence, I didn't know what to think, since I've been to Peoria. But then I noticed the grin and it all made sense.

I will not be going to Big Al's if that is what you are thinking.

Peace

I'm imagining a JRut/Padgett combo announcing the NCAA tourney (of course, Padgett is doing color, or, er, off color commentary ).

Maybe Juulie on the sidelines, as kind of an Erin Andrews of Officiating.com

I'd love to work that with Rut. Of course, I do have radio experience of doing play-by-play, so I'd rather do that part. As for Juulie working the sidelines, we could have her do her Dick Vitalis impression. It's really slick - get it?

Don't need to worry about spilled oil with this, though.

Brylcreem, a little dab will do you
Use much more, only if you dare
But watch out, the gals will all pursue you
They love to get their fingers in your hair

Didn't go online to look it up. All from memory. The jingle writer who wrote this little ditty deserved a lot of money since it stuck in my brain this long.

I guess the gals just love the feel of really greasy hair?
