Even though it is apparently the wrong mechanic, I'll bet 99% of the TV audience knew exactly what transpired. The whistle and point would have the casual viewer scratching their head. That said, the over paid announcers, you would think, should know what's going on. I shudder if it was Mike Patrick who alluded to a 5 second count in the backcourt last night in the Duke/NC game.


I wonder if Welmer consciously chose to do it?
