Lane violation or not

If the player did not have the ball in his hands then there was no violation, if the ball was in the hands of the shooter then their was a violation.
If there was a violation it should have been called, it took place right out in front of GOD and everybody and would have been a "no brainer" and no coach could have argued that one.
