Timeout discrepancy

I am a volleyball scorekeeper in the fall and one fundamental of volleyball scorekeeping is signaling to the R2 how many timeouts (you get two per game) each coach has used. My modification to this procedure for basketball is to count down number of timeouts remaining for both teams after recording the timeout called. Also,say a coach has used all of his/her thirty second timeouts and wants to take his/her first full timeout-Instead of the official walking over to that coach and asking what timeout he would like I signal and declare whatever type of timeout he/she has remaining.
