Padgett, this little incident reminded me of a story you told recently.
Sub comes in, slaps hands with player who is leaving. Sub asks, "Are you on #24?" Leaving player replies, "No, I'm on zone!" |

PS I sneaked a peek into the eval box tonight, and Josh looked pretty darn good. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, eh? |

Plus - twice in one game he called that goofy over and back correctly. You know, the one where B1 hits the ball off dribbler A1 and it goes into A's backcourt where it is touched by A. There was one call against each team - he was trail both times and he had to explain it to both coaches....and his partner! (although only once) The only thing I mentioned to him in the past 3 games was that on an inbound in the backcourt, he wasn't switching hands between the five second count and the subsequent ten second count. He was pausing, but not switching hands. He said, "Oh yeah, I forgot." The next game, he remembered. If that's all I can find to nit-pick, I guess he must be getting good official evals, 'cause you know how nit-picky I am ![]() Speaking of that, how's your "push" mechanic? ![]()

I understand your point and i have heard good arguements both ways. Myself, i always get good eye contact and very clear when giving signals. i have never had a mistake such as this with the scorer, that i know of, knock on wood. I think this is a matter of preference. If it works for you, great.
