1-and-1 Mistake

Last season I was doing a boys JV game. We were shooting the first of a 1-and-1 and I was the lead. Somehow I had a brief mini-stroke and thought we were shooting 2. The ball goes up, misses, I step into the lane and get the ball. Needless to say the players all looked at me like I had two heads. I smiled, walked over to the table and asked the scorer to record in the official book that I got a rebound. We then went to the arrow to determine possession. Now I am extra careful to "stay in the game."
